The first of the Mr. Hook cartoon series, his main purpose was to sell war bonds.
Hook is set a decade in the future, and he is telling his young son about his exploits during the war and how war bonds helped him defeat an evil Japanese pilot who was trying to attack the fleet.

Subject: Cute
This is a typical WWII propaganda cartoon. Walter Lantz's animation and Hank Ketcham's story made it very entertaining. They're pushing war bonds in this one, directly linking their purchase to defeat of the Japanese and postwar prosperity.

The other three Mr. Hook cartoons are also here at IA.

I downloaded the 84MB AVI file. Video and audio quality were fine.
